  • Process the input of the 9 cross-domain topics that are addressed during the first day and to reflect upon it within the community
  • Provide a response to the topics by providing comments, answers or reformulating some of the former questions and reflecting RWI priorities to be addressed towards the next meeting in Valencia.

[edit] Knowledge Cafe Format

The discussions during the knowledge cafes are only restricted to 60 mins and therefore should be very focused in order to emerge with a useful outcome. Each knowledge café chair has the following responsibilities:

  • Assign a rapporteur
  • Animate discussion based on a list of questions (listed below)
  • Keep time
  • Suggest drivers (individuals taking responsibility) and methodology
  • Present outcomes of the café at the session wrap up

The Questions for the cafés are:

  • Relevance to the agenda of the RWI area discussed at the table
    • Which cross-domain topics are relevant to the RWI community and how?
    • Which cross-domain topics should be dropped for the next FIA meeting in Valencia?
  • Potential synergies that could be identified towards addressing RWI challenges
    • Which cross-domain topics address complementary issues for RWI and other FIA communities?
    • As a result with which FIA community do we need to build stronger links?
  • Potential problems or implication on RWI work that may require stronger co-ordination with other FI domains
    • Contrasting this, with respect to the cross-domain topics and beyond, where do RWI and other FIA communities diverge or follow incompatible approaches?
    • What are the necessary steps and interactions to narrow down the differences between these approaches?
  • Gaps or contradicting assumption in the approach of other FIA domains with respect to RWI requirements
    • What are the gaps?
    • What could be other cross-domain topics that encourage joint activities?
  • Preparing towards Valencia
    • How shall we adapt our agenda towards Valencia?
    • Can we define key outcomes or actions for our area in the RWI community?
    • How shall the collaboration on the above identified cross-topics and with other FIA communities evolve?
